Long known as the world’s lightest headset, the Cane Creek AER is now equipped with a steel/aluminium hybrid bearing. This allows for longer durability and up to 40% weight savings compared to similar headsets. Thanks to the targeted use of milling technology and precise processing, an optimal ratio between low weight and high strength was achieved. The current AER headset is the ideal choice for both road bikes and mountain bikes.
Cane Creek 110 series stainless steel bearings and 40 series black oxide bearings are the industry standard for high quality, sealed cartridge bearings. Now it was time to raise the level even further! For riders who value low weight and at the same time do not want to forego the usual quality and durability of Cane Creek products, this steel/aluminium hybrid bearing is just the thing.
