Curve Cycling – GMX+ Titanium Frameset

The GMX+ is the ultimate titanium bikepacking bike. Whether it’s an overnight gravel grind, ultra-endurance racing like the Tour Divide, or off-road touring through the desert, the GMX+ can fit 3.0″ tyres, carry loads of water and ready for adventure.

The GMX+ was inspired by the intrepid Overlanders of the 1890s, who rode incredible distances without support across the harsh Australian outback. We wondered what these Overlanders would create if they could build a bike with today’s modern technology. The answer is the GMX+: an all-new adventure platform based around wide plus size tyre clearance (up to 3.0″), ultra wide drop bars and innovative new fork geometry.

After each edition of the outback bikepacking race, Race to the Rock, we realised that we wanted more out of our original GMX. So we redesigned it from the ground up to have increased storage capacity, bikepacking specific geometry and clearance for 3.0″ tyres – allowing you to tackle a wider range of terrain, including all but the deepest of red desert sand.

• The GMX+ titanium frame and carbon fork can easily accommodate 10+ 1L water bottles on the numerous mounts, including offset downtube mounts which allow you to have two 1L water bottles within reach as well as a full frame bag.
• Walmer Bars The Walmer Bar – Curve’s ultra wide drop bar – is the perfect handlebar to complement rugged off-road riding. These flared dirt drop bars come in 4 sizes (46, 50, 55, 60cm on the hoods), and are just an additional $100 AUD when purchasing a GMX+ frameset online (save $89!). Walmer Bars give the combination of more stability, hand positions and storage space than any other bar out there.
• PLUS!!! With clearance for up to 29 x 3.0” plus size mountain bike tyres (27.5 x 3.0″ in sizes XXS–XS) the GMX+ can take you anywhere. Big tyres mean lots of traction and less rolling resistance, allowing you to ride efficiently across terrain such as sand, rocks or snow.
• Extended Sizing The GMX+ ranges from size XXS to XL to allow more adventurous men and women the chance to get off the couch and explore (we even made an ‘Extra Medium’ size!) Sizes SM–XL are designed around 29″ wheels, while XXS and XS frames run 27.5″ wheels to keep the geometry proportions and handling characteristics consistant across the sizes.
